The Power of Light

The intention of this web site is to offer an overview of our products and capabilities. Our ultimate goal is to add value to your products by supplying reliable and cost-efficient subminiature lighting.

Lumitron has been supplying lighting components to the aerospace industry for over thirty years.  We keep a large inventory of commercial and military specification type lamps (MS24515, MS3338, MS90451, MS90452, MS24367, MS27571, MS25237) commonly used in integrally illuminated panels and instruments, and we can usually ship these out the same day an order is placed.

We also carry a full line of  night vision imaging system (NVIS) filters, lamps and LEDs in various sizes and colors, including NVIS Green A, Green B, White, and Yellow for night vision compatibility of LCDs, instruments, panels, keyboards, and other displays. We also offer night vision supplemental devices such as our Infra Red (IR) Filter Hood that transforms a standard Maglite flashlight into a IR illuminator, NVG compatible flashlights, various incandescent-to-LED-to-NVG flashlight conversion kits.

In order to provide complete solutions for your engineering and production needs, we offer our in-house computer numerically controlled CNC machine shop. Our experience and machining skills can be put to work for you to build prototypes or production runs of all types of lighting components.

In addition, we offer both surface mount and lamp type Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). Reliable and energy efficient solid state LEDs have evolved to the point where they are now an attractive choice for many applications that were once the domain of incandescent lamps.  These include indication, backlighting pushbuttons, panel overlays, liquid crystal displays (LCD’s), and most recently, general illumination.

Our quality system includes statistical process control (SPC) and conforms to MIL-I-45208A and MIL-STD-45662.  Our lamp manufacturing facilities are Ford Q1, GM PPAP approved, and also ISO-9001/QS-9000 qualified. Upon request, with each shipment we can include a photometric inspection report with performance data and design specification control charts, spectral data, along with full certification.
